There are a huge variety of opportunities that the Institution offers to members; all encouraging and supporting involvement with Mechanical Engineering. Opportunities can vary to meet your needs - you may be looking for a one off volunteer role or an ongoing monthly commitment - whatever fits your lifestyle.
Participation in engineering related events gives many benefits including: sharing best practice, gaining valuable experience and transferable skills and building on your Continual Professional Development.
It is important to note that the opportunities mentioned here are voluntary. Participation will definitely improve your overall experience of engineering but will not lead directly to employment.
