We have around 180 members based in Switzerland supported by a newly formed Group.
The main aims and goals for the IMechE Switzerland Group are:
- Promote the status of the Engineering Profession within Switzerland and Europe.
- Increase "added value" to the members based in Switzerland.
- Organise technical visits and networking/social events.
- Provide support for mentoring and professional reviews "in country".
- "Spread the word" of Engineering to Schools and Colleges, inform, encourage and inspire the future "Engineering" generation.
- Forge links with Swiss Universities and higher educational institutions.
We can only achieve these goals by the active support and participation of the membership based in Switzerland.
If you are an existing IMechE member based in Switzerland, or have recently moved to Switzerland, or currently reside in Switzerland and are considering joining the IMechE, we would certainly like to hear from you.
Contact details for the Group are shown in the following Contact pages.
The membership in Switzerland consists of approximately 13 Fellows, 76 Corporate Members, 67 Affiliates and 22 Associate members.
The geographical distribution of the membership is 37 members in Western Switzerland (Valais), 25 Central Switzerland (Bern/Luzern), 53 Northern Switzerland (Basel/Aarau) and 63 in Eastern Switzerland (Zurich/St Gallen).
