A LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF

THE SUFFOLK & NORTH ESSEX AREA

Dear Member,

 Many of you regularly attend our annual programme of lectures which are held at the Ramada Hotel, Colchester.

 I`m pleased to note that our choice of presentations have, so far, been well received,  which is gratifying to the members of our committee who arrange these events.

 However, we have decided to increase our committee membership, which we feel will enhance the quality of our activities, and I would be pleased to hear from those who believe they can make a contribution to local Institution affairs.

 We have about four business meetings each year, depending upon priorities, and, of course, members are able to keep in touch on particular issues by email, as and when they arise.

 Younger members of the Institution may find some stimulus by taking part in our committee work which often reveals an `inside track` on affairs which may not otherwise be apparent.

 Most Regional and Area committees comprise many valuable and enthusiastic members who are either retired or  approaching retirement, and are able bring their experiences to the table, for the benefit of the Institution and younger members.
