About Us

Welcome to the Shropshire Area

Aims

There are over 400 members who live in Shropshire. We aim to provide a varied programme of activities to further engineering knowledge and improve communications between engineers at all levels. We also want to help engineers who wish to attain chartered status by offering practical guidance and support.

About Us

As a committee, we arrange up to 10 events per year, including lectures, factory visits and social outings. All activities are carried out jointly with the IEE and we welcome both members and non members who have an interest in engineering. We try to arrange a programme to cater for all tastes but always welcome new ideas.

Most of our lectures are held at the Shrewsbury College, usually on Tuesday evenings, but please see our web site and Institution publications for more details. So, come along and meet us.

Programme

Full details of our 2005/2006 combined programme will be published shortly. Please see the Midland Region newsletter for more details.
