AEROSPACE NORTH WEST
The Aerospace Industries Division of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers set up IMechE Aerospace North West 6 years ago, as part of the IMechE's Aerospace Division, to cater for the needs of members in the region and recognise the special place of the aerospace industry in the North West economy.
The Committee organise between 8 and 10 events a year and hold a prestige event every other year. The Committee also help organise The Annual Northern Aerospace Forum which has been run successfully now for the past 3 years with considerable Industry attendance.
The Institution strives to bring a programme of interesting, relevant and good quality lectures and industry events to the North West to provide members with continuing professional development opportunities, in addition to excellent industry networking.

The facility trains firemen from 86 countries around the world and the visit will give you an opportunity to get a close up view of the many and varied test rigs and how they can be operated to simulate any type of fire and watch the firemen in the training exercises.
