Aberdeen Young Member’s Panel (AYMP) aims to continue to improve upon the reputation of the institution and the panel established within the region during 2008 and 2009 by introducing Young Members to the professional activities of the IMechE, and in doing so encouraging them to stay connected and committed to the institution throughout their careers.
The panel’s ambition is to deliver a programme of value adding, interesting and stimulating events which support and encourage all Young Members from the earliest stages of their career through to EngTech, Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status and beyond.
It is the panel’s intention to provide the region’s Young Members with a strong professional network via a variety of sources therefore improving links with local businesses and other professional institutions and engaging the wider engineering community.
The panel endeavours to develop and recognise its volunteers, engage IMechE members by demonstrating the benefits of being associated with a professional body and capture the requirements of the Young Member’s within the region.
The AYMP seeks to achieve the above objectives in conjunction with the promotion and implementation of the four IMechE key themes: energy, transport, education and environment.
This site will be used to update you on events and activities being organised by IMechE Young Members in Aberdeen. I encourage you to get involved and hope you find something of interest.
If you need further information please contact one of the committee members whose details can be found on our contacts webpage.
